Lissac sur Couze
Lissac is a rural community that spreads across 1200 hectares. This land is very uneven with large altitude changes. Artisans have a have a special place in this community, with its fair share of different enterprises and artisans.
These Chateaux of Lissac (15th century), of Mauriolles (17th century) and Laporte (12th century) are evidence of Lissac’s historic past.
Lissac has flourished with the existence of it’s magnificent lake of 90 hectares on which there are lots of water sports you can practice such as wind surfing, rowing, and water skiing.
There are two beaches designated to bathers and swimmers who come during the summer holiday season, as well as a footpath around the lake popular with walkers and joggers. There is also a zone reserved for fishing and also a fishing school is at hand for children. A Mountain Bike area is available for bike rides and the hiring of bikes. There are cycling paths all around the village.
A little charming and welcoming village, with its calm and peaceful aspect in the winter season, Lissac returns to its animated self and regains it’s vitality when the summer arrives, with the arrival or holidaymakers and the frequent visitors to the Lake du Causse.
